This has been a very trying morning. To review: a known fugitive gained access to the palace's interior, proceeded to successfully evade capture by the men posted on this morning's watch, and has since fled the scene with the crown of the Lost Princess. In the ensuing pursuit Maximus's commanding officer had presumably been subdued immediately prior to his own altercation with the aforementioned thief. In summary: an enemy of the crown, whilst in possession of a national treasure, is currently at large within His Majesty's forest. As a member of the palace guard, Maximus's duty is clear.

The front door rocks back on its hinges to reveal a lone figure posed dramatically in the opening. The pale horse pauses for a moment, ears flicking forward at this unexpected development before dropping its head to the floor boards and... snuffling in to the bar in a distinctly canine manner.

Justice will be served!
